Job Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Pipefitters for projects located in and around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $29.50/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

  • Fit carbon steel, CRES
  • Copper nickel piping
  • Prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
  • Install pipe hangers
  • Prep & fitup backing rings
  • Clean, cut/break pipe with a grinder
  • Prep V bevels
  • Fabricate various details & assemblies from drawings
  • Bend pipe from template and in use of a hand bender
  • Fit welded sockets
  • Fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of Marine Commercial, Nuclear or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitting Experience
  • Ability to Read & Interpret Ship Piping Drawings
  • Experience in the trade
