Overview
FTE: 1.0Shift Hours: 7AM-7PM, TBDDays of Week: MONDAY-SATURDAY, TBDUF Health Rehab Center OSMI (Sports and Orthopaedics) provides physical, massage and aquatic therapy services. Our staff are specialty-trained in sports injuries, concussions, running medicine, and pain science as well as total joint, post-surgical and the general orthopedic population. We work closely with the physicians in the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute and the UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center to serve the rehab needs of Gainesville and the surrounding communities. We are the rehab provider for the University Athletic Association and are an accredited sport residency site through the American Physical Therapy Association. Our therapists collaborate in research with these physicians and the University Athletic Association and are published in areas of ACL, baseball/overhead athletes, movement analysis, concussion, patient expectations/outcomes, psychosocial factors for positive outcomes and running medicine.The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists the Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services and education to patients. Educates other health professionals and students about rehabilitation.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree in a Rehab Therapy.
- No previous clinical experience necessary.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida
