Purpose

The role of the Category and Insight team is to provide holistic category vision and plans to drive growth for the business.

The Senior Category Marketing Manager will be the expert in the category, responsible for bringing the voice of the consumer and shopper to the business and for building a consumer driven innovation pipeline.

Key Accountabilities

• Builds, shares and updates individual category strategies covering all growth levers including channel & shopper in a format that can be tailored to customer plans
• Provides category specific insight to customer teams, including shopper profiles, gap analysis etc.
• Represents the consumer and shopper perspective to our operational business units to aid decision making shares regular category insight updates and inputs into business strategy/ capex decisions
• In alignment with Innovation & Development team, develops long term innovation pipeline built on strong consumer insight leads platform development and concept testing

Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstratable history of building and executing category strategy.
• Strong, impactful, and effective written and verbal communication skills & storytelling.
• Stakeholder management and influencing at different levels of seniority within the organisation.
• Strong relationship building skills & cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to think creatively about business opportunities & problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG roles
• Experience of partnering with & influencing UK Grocery Multiple Retailers.
• Experience of leading External Agency relationships & Agency Management
