Due to the continued growth of our client are now looking to increase our team of Assistant Buyers and Sales Coordinators, based in their Exeter office, to help source and buy products and process our orders.

If you have a background in administration/data input, a keen eye for buying, selling and negotiating with supply chains and you wish to hone your skills whilst building a career within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Process orders ensuring the right products are purchased.
• Monitor deliveries and follow up ETAs to complete orders in full, ready to ship.
• Identify new suppliers internationally.
• Process purchase orders on suppliers, ensuring best pricing, delivery, and terms.
• Work with sales team to ensure the best products and service are offered to customers.
• Learn and develop new skills and attend relevant training.
• Work to deadlines.
• Organise worldwide collection of goods.

Person Specifications/Attributes

• Confident dealing with people at all levels and able to use your initiative.
• A mature flexible attitude, a keen eye for detail, sociable and good sense of humour.
• Clear, empathetic, positive interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and resourceful in meeting customer needs.
• Passion for customer service.
• IT literate with experience of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems.
• Thirst for knowledge of market trends/intel.

Working Hours & Wage

• Mon- Fri, 8:00-5:00 with 1 hour for lunch and additional breaks.
• Based full time in Exeter.
• 25 days' holiday, plus Bank Holidays and your birthday off.
