Senior Security Architect - Senior Manager

PwC's global cybersecurity strategy focuses on identifying, controlling, and reducing the attack surface across our member firm network and increasing our adversaries' cost of attack. Our mission protects 223,000 PwC members across 157 member firms worldwide, as well as our global clients.

The Security Architecture team collaborates closely with our innovation and technology teams to integrate security measures across their programmes. The team is responsible for creating security requirements, exploring existing service offerings, and identifying new opportunities to enhance the Firm and Network's information security protection. Our work involves integrating solutions, driving operational governance processes, and providing security requirements to our technology teams.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect who is adept at solving novel security problems, often in original and inventive ways. This role involves collaborating with a wide range of internal teams to support the rollout of new and emerging technologies while maintaining our security agenda and protecting our data and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design governance, process, and technology solutions to address risk-driven problems.
  • Define our target state for security architecture, aligned with UK and Global roadmaps.
  • Contribute to governance forums and global committees.
  • Represent UK strategic drivers and requirements in Global technology programmes.
  • Create reusable artefacts and contribute to design patterns.
  • Provide internal security consultancy to Line of Service business teams, interpreting the PwC ISP into secure product and design decisions.
  • Liaise with global teams to facilitate the adoption of standardised and consumable services.
  • Conduct threat modelling and provide proportional security controls specific to a system or solution's risk.
  • Offer guidance on exceptions and assist in designing compensating controls for ISP non-compliance.
  • Translate complex business use cases into readable and measurable security requirements.
  • Evangelise the principles of security best practices.


What are we looking for?
  • Ability to build consensus and collaborate with a range of stakeholders including global information security experts, emerging technology specialists, and risk teams.
  • Quick learner with a broad understanding of technology and how security is applied in an enterprise setting.
  • Ability to design and write engaging reports that communicate findings succinctly.
  • Inquisitive nature and intuition regarding what questions to ask and their relative significance.
  • Ability to frame threats and exposures in a business context recognised by non-technical staff and executives.


Experience Required:
  • Experience with Application Security, familiarity with OWASP, Threat Modelling, STRIDE, Pen Testing.
  • Understanding of cloud security concepts across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Exposure to Gen AI solutions and appreciation for security considerations.
  • Experience in Enterprise Security Architecture, Solutions Security Architecture, or Security Engineering.
  • Security Management or Security Architecture certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM).
  • Domain landscape knowledge of assurance and technical security principles.
  • Understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
