Associate Group Manager

A position has arisen for an Associate Group Manager within a highly regarded healthcare organisation situated within the West-Midlands. The position is temporary running for 3 months+.

Location: West-Midlands

Contract: 3 months+

Hours: 37.5, Monday to Friday

A brief overview of the day-to-day duties includes the following:

• Lead and manage allocated specialties, ensuring clear communication and robust implementation of policy, business objectives and agreed targets
• Chair and lead meetings, working with the Group Manager, Modern Matron and Clinical Lead to ensure sound operational management of all areas with robust, reviewable systems
• Manage the operational performance of the specialty to achieve delivery of national and local targets, the development and delivery of improvement plans and reengineering of roles/models of care
• Contribute to and deliver robust business plans for specialty/service, in conjunction with senior colleagues, identifying opportunities for new markets and schemes to generate additional income and/or reduce expenditure
• Proactively engage in interagency working to develop and implement strategies/services that cross traditional organisational boundaries, encouraging a seamless health system from a patient perspective
• Maintain an open, proactive and collaborative culture, supported by effective two-way communication systems and processes that promote the achievements and activities of the specialty and maintains clinical standards
• Develop, implement and review robust systems to effectively manage risks, including ensuring that risk registers are populated and utilised at specialty levels, to manage risk and keep the Speciality Management Group informed

The successful candidate should have:

• Exposure to solving a range of operational problems within Healthcare involving HR and finance
• Undertaking service/business planning in a multidisciplinary setting taking into account finance, workforce, equipment and organisational factors
• Managing and delivering redesign and change management Programmes/initiatives
• Experience in an Acute hospital setting involving inpatient bed capacity
