We are looking for a Senior SOC Analyst (Shift) to act as an escalation point for Tier 1 SOC Analysts by further analysing and investigating events of interest and escalating to management when necessary.

  • As a Tier 2 incident responder, undertake detailed incident analysis by relating data from various sources to assess if a critical system or data set has been impacted and advise on appropriate remediation.
  • Mentor, support and train Tier 1 Analyst (and Associate Analysts) to improve detection capabilities and monitor performance. Provide quality assurance by regularly validating samples of work performed by Tier 1 Analysts. Respond to Tier 1 issues if the SOC Analyst is unable to resolve appropriately or is absent.
  • Drive and monitor processes to ensure applicable reporting is gathered and disseminated.
  • Compile statistics to monitor the performance of the Cyber SOC and submit to the Security Operations Specialist for review.
  • Actively participate in regular meetings with the customer and other team members (e.g. weekly tuning telephone calls and daily Incident Response meetings) and action any delegated responsibilities.
  • Continually look to identify and implement improvements to the services provided to customers.
