Senior Actuary

A leading Reinsurance company in South Africa is on the lookout for a Senior Actuary to join their team. This company has been in the industry for over 40 years and has created a major impact within the market with their impressive standards. This company is looking for a Senior Actuary to set and maintain pricing for all product lines within their company. Duties: The primary role is the development and documentation of pricing bases for a wide range of products, such as mortality, disability and critical illness. Develop and enhance statistical models for the applications in insurance industry, including mortality, morbidity, persistency, fraud, consumer response, etc. for use internally or externally. Assist in developing and maintaining the infrastructure (dashboards, scripts, and data pipelines) used to monitor emerging experience. Provide subject matter expertise in the insurance application of predictive modelling and advanced data analytics. Conducting technical actuarial research that supports the Business Development team, the Pricing team and raises the profile of RGAs research capabilities.
