Senior Tax Specialist (Indirect Tax)

Key Responsibilities: Tax Processes, Planning, and Projects: Lead and manage various tax-related processes, including strategic planning and the execution of tax projects. Ensure that these processes align with the broader financial and operational goals of the organisation. Tax Accounting and Reporting: Oversee VAT and tax reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in tax accounting and reporting. Provide detailed tax analysis and insights to support financial decision-making. Ensure Tax Compliance Across the Business: Monitor and enforce tax compliance across all business units, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Implement best practices to maintain and improve compliance standards. Identify and Mitigate Tax Risk: Proactively identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure the business is always compliant. Manage Tax Audits: Lead and manage tax audits, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. Prepare and present necessary documentation and responses to audit queries. Qualifications: Education: Post-graduate Honours Degree or Post-graduate Diploma in Accounting, Tax, or a related field is required. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred. Professional Certifications: Registered tax practitioner/professional tax certification is preferred. VAT certification is required.
