We are seeking a highly skilled UAV GCS (Ground Control Station) Instructor and Technician to join our team in the aviation industry in South Africa. Instructor Duties: Develop and Conduct Training Programs: Teach UAV GCS operation procedures, software interfaces, telemetry systems, and communication protocols. Hands-On Training: Educate personnel on GCS setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Create Instructional Materials: Develop manuals, presentations, and simulations to support learning. Technician Duties: Diagnostics and Maintenance: Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on UAV GCS hardware and software. System Compliance: Ensure GCS systems meet performance standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate on Technical Issues: Work with engineering teams to enhance GCS functionality. Other Duties: Documentation and Reporting: Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and certification outcomes. Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on GCS maintenance, repairs, and operational incidents. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Protocols: Follow safety protocols during training and maintenance. Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to UAV GCS. Requirements: Education: Diploma in Aviation, Engineering, Education, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in UAV operations with expertise in Ground Control Stations. Skills: Comprehensive understanding of UAV GCS hardware, software, telemetry systems, and communication protocols. Instructional Experience: Preferred experience in technical training roles. Certification: UAV operations and maintenance certification is advantageous. Communication: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements: Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for training. Flexibility: Adaptability to evolving technology and training methodologies. Regulations: Familiarity with South African aviation regulations.
