QA Engineer (Automation)

This is a permanent role with a global trading firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the trading systems, applications, and processes. This role requires a strong understanding of QA methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the software using appropriate bug-tracking tools.
• Work closely with developers to understand the software requirements and ensure thorough testing of the system.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the stability and scalability of the trading systems.
• Ensure that the trading systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, with a strong focus on security testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably within the financial or trading industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in QA tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Java
  • Familiarity with trading platforms and financial instruments is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
