Associate

The ideal applicant possesses the ability to lead smaller transactions from sourcing to close, as well as help senior investment professionals in bigger transactions. They should also be independent and team players.

What you will do:

• Responsibilities include analyzing potential secondary investments and presenting findings to senior investment professionals within the Secondary Team.
• Additionally, you will maintain dialogue with sellers, agents, and GPs during a deal and build external relationships for future investment opportunities.
• Coordinate initial legal and tax work with HarbourVest, seller, and third-party resources to complete deals.
• Perform analysis to evaluate secondary investment performance, including updating General Partners, analyzing financial statements, attending annual meetings, and conducting primary and secondary research as needed.
• Assist with writing letters to investors for regular reporting and fund updates.
• Prepare annual meeting and report materials, and update marketing materials.
• Identify, contact, and introduce potential sellers to help drive deal flow.

What you bring:

• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
• In-depth knowledge of private equity markets and financial acumen
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
