Underwriting Manager, Life Insurance

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure underwriting standards align with the company's business strategies and policies.
• Review and refine processes and guidelines to enhance business flow and team efficiency.
• Collaborating with business units to gather necessary information and clarify underwriting requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal underwriting guidelines.
• Coach junior underwriters on processes and guidelines according to established SOP.
• Assist in executing strategic plans and projects to improve operational efficiency and underwriting results.
• Providing support and expertise in the development and pricing of new insurance products.
• Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact underwriting practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree holder with 5-7 years of underwriting experience
• At least 4-5 years of experience in team management
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Good inter-personal skills with energy and drive
• Coaching capabilities
