Become part of our team in Frankfurt am Main and support us as a Engineer (f/m/d) Linux Technology Infrastructure We offer multifaceted tasks Together with your team, you will be responsible for the provision, further development and support of systems on the Linux platform. In daily business, you will operate and maintain the Linux servers in KfW's data centers as well as the automation in the Linux server environment through Infrastructure as a Code (IaC). With careful monitoring of our service performance and ongoing optimization as part of event management, you ensure reliable Linux server operation in the data centers. When it comes to error analysis, you take it seriously, initiate improvement processes and carry out root cause analyses in cooperation with Application & Technology Management, IT Performance Management and, if necessary, external providers. With your expertise, you support IT product management in product decisions, operational release maintenance (e.g. in the form of operational projects) and license management. As part of IT development projects, you will inspire with your know-how and inventiveness, for example in infrastructure-relevant requirements and in the testing and evaluation of component definitions. What you bring with you You will impress us with a degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification. Thanks to many years of relevant professional experience, you have a relaxed view of the very complex area of responsibility You inspire your team with extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code, Config Management and scripting & programming experience (Python and Ansible). You complete your toolkit with knowledge of Suse Linux Enterprise Server and its connection to an EMC-based SAN infrastructure, its operation under VMware ESXi 6.x in particular vSphere Client as well as x86 server hardware. You therefore feel equipped for the IT service operation of business-critical systems in banks on the basis of ITIL. You prefer to work with agile methods, especially Kanban, with people who are as curious and determined as you are, and with a good dose of solution orientation outside the beaten track. You communicate convincingly in writing and orally in German, our business language. A good command of English complements your profile. Find out more about IT at KfW.
