Summary:

The Director Engineering role will be responsible for leading the Airgain R&D team at our Plymouth, MN site. This critical leadership position will report to the global VP-Engineering and manage our growing MN team delivering innovative Connectivity & IOT Solutions. The successful candidate will have proven results in leading cross functional teams developing system products in the Telecommunications & Embedded industry. As manager of Airgain MN site, this role will be entrusted with cultivating strong culture built on innovation, quality, and collaboration. This position may be hired at a Director or Senior-Director level.

Essential Function:

  • Director level management leading cross functional engineering professionals across Software (embedded/cloud) + Hardware + Systems/Test disciplines – including driving aligned goals, handling compensation, hiring new talent, owning group budget, and managing site operations
  • Personally engage to drive successful delivery of innovative high-quality solutions to customers while meeting company’s business objectives – all aligned with Airgain’s ‘player-coach’ approach to Engineering leadership.
  • Guide internal/external project team through complex technical trade-off decision-making and problem-solving
  • Consistently demonstrate strong quality and process competency to execute successful projects while continuously improving company performance
  • Effectively collaborate across Airgain organization – esp. with Product Management, Operations, and Sales
  • Foster the professional growth of team members through mentorship, career development opportunities, and regular feedback, ensuring leadership development within the team
  • Develop & grow successful relationships with external stakeholders – including customers, suppliers, and partners

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ management leadership experience required in Wireless, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems or related (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (Preferred)
  • Confident handling full product lifecycle including product definition, development, and support
  • Capable to lead projects for product certification and Device-to-Cloud Solutions

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 – $180,000 + Annual Bonus

Our salary ranges are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target range for new hire base salary for the position across all US locations and varies by the location of the position.

Compensation details: 165000-180000 Yearly Salary
