Job Description

We have a new opportunity to be part of the Vehicle Performance team in the role of Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer.


The role has broad responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Simulation studies for current and future car development
  • Factory based, Race, Test and Driver In the Loop Simulator (DILSim) event support
  • Occasional trackside attendance
  • Performance analysis
  • Model correlation
  • Analysis tool development
  • Mechanical rig testing (R&D, K&C, 7-Post)
  • Conducting Driver In the Loop (DILSim) test programs
  • Liaison with all groups within the technical function
  • Supporting Junior engineers


The following skills & experience are required:

  • Significant experience within high level motorsport
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • A strong understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Some understanding of physical tyre models
  • An awareness of ground vehicle aerodynamic principles in high level motorsport
  • Matlab and/or Python coding experience
  • Strong communication skills, being able to describe complex problems in simple terms


Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:

  • Motorsport trackside experience
  • Modelling in Simulink / Simpack / Dymola
  • Hands-on experience of mechanical/automotive systems


The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in a Mechanical or Automotive Engineering related discipline and exhibit strong problem solving skills.

The ability to work effectively whether as part of a cross-functional team or with minimal supervision is a prerequisite.
