Roehampton Gate School are recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our support team! We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping. You will will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. This position is 20 hours per week, 43 weeks per year. Shifts can be completed between 3:30-7:30pm, but we are willing to be flexible for right candidate.
Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 -19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Located in Roehampton, SW London, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment

The successful candidate will have experience of daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed in a timely manner and a good knowledge of health and safety legislation that is applicable to the role, along with the following characteristics, along with the following characteristics:
Communication - During your role your working environment may involve interacting with our young people we support that may display varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties.
Organisation - As well as supervising the staff team, you'll need to be confident and organised in record keeping, ensuring issues are logged on the internal computer systems and keeping up to date with routine maintenance checks.
Attentive - No two jobs will be the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.

Main duties:
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the school, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensures that Aspris minimum standards are delivered in all home areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
- Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department or home manager to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
- Adopt new services that are already introduced within the group
- Use equipment efficiently, in order to gain a greater value for money
