This is an exciting opportunity for you to help lead the way when it comes to all Health and Safety Matters. With it being a newly created role this is your chance to really embed best practices across the school and play a pivotal role in leading the way with all polices keeping the school compliant.


What they need from you:-

You will provide expert guidance to the senior leadership team and staff, promoting an integrated risk management culture and maintaining a positive health and safety environment for all users of the Schools estate, with over 26 buildings all dating from various eras with over 450 pupils, you know you will have variety with every day. While working in a friendly collaborative team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and training to staff on health and safety matters.
  • Liaise with external bodies and authorities regarding health and safety compliance.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being throughout the school community.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Proven experience in a health and safety management role, preferably within an educational or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and engage staff at all levels.
  • Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
