Tertiary education in law, economics, finance, entrepreneurship or similar Matric certificate essential Clear criminal and credit record Valid drivers license and vehicle Financial planners need both strong interpersonal and analytical skills. They must be able to analyse investment and financial data then clearly communicate their findings to their clients An aptitude for sales and marketing and a solid network will stand you in good stead for a career in financial planning
