Financial planners spend their days meeting with prospective clients, implementing solutions with new clients and reviewing plans with existing clients. Financial planners help their clients make more informed financial decisions. Those decisions can be anything from how to start investing to retirement or estate planning. Giving advice to clients is a privilege, They are trusting you with the intimate details of their finances. Earning that trust requires passing rigorous exams and holding yourself to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Tertiary education in law, economics, finance, entrepreneurship or similar Matric certificate essential Clear criminal and credit record Valid drivers license and vehicle Financial planners need both strong interpersonal and analytical skills. They must be able to analyse investment and financial data then clearly communicate their findings to their clients An aptitude for sales and marketing and a solid network will stand you in good stead for a career in financial planning
