Finance Manager (Part-time)

Industry: FMCG Work Schedule: 2.5 to 3 days per week Experience: 6-10 years Location: Western Cape Key Responsibilities: Full Financial Management: Oversee the entire finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends and variances to support business decisions. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient cash usage and liquidity. Prepare and present cash flow forecasts to the senior management team. Cost Management & Efficiency: Develop cost-saving strategies and implement measures to improve financial efficiency in operations. Analyze costs and advise on profitability improvement opportunities. Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations (e.g., VAT, income tax). Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial practices are compliant with regulatory standards. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, procurement, and operations, to ensure financial alignment across the organization. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior finance team members. Financial Strategy & Risk Management: Assist the executive team with financial planning, risk management, and investment decision-making. Advise on key financial strategies to drive business growth. Requirements: BCom Accounting Degree (essential). 6-10 years of experience in a finance role, with a strong background in the FMCG sector. Proven experience managing the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and cash flow management. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to guide decision-making. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent will be advantageous).
