Job Description

Job Profile: (SAS Platform Administrator) Position details: As a part of Compliance Technology, the AVP should have excellent SAS Platform Administration skills. The candidate will be responsible for: Administering and maintaining SAS GRID 9.4 and SAS VIYA 4.0 Production, Dev and Test environment, and related technologies. Support development and testing environments for SAS solutions and advise on necessary patches and upgrades. Perform migration activities from SAS Grid to SAS Viya 4.0 platform. Have ETL system knowledge, Scheme creation and maintenance knowledge, knowledge of Database connection, Database update and writing SQL queries. Roles and Responsibilities: Must have 8 years of SAS Viya 3.5/4.0 or, SAS Grid Administration Experience Excellent Hands-on skills of Linux platform (RHEL, CentOS, OpenShift) so that person should be able to monitor the SAS application and OS platform. 3 years of hands-on experience in Autosys Enterprise Scheduler. Or any relevant Understand SAS Architecture (clustering) Have worked on SAS Grid platform (LSF/SAS Workload Orchestrator) Have worked on License renewal activity. Troubleshooting issues for clients like SAS EG, SAS Studio etc. Aware of checking the SAS Logs (like Metadata server, Webserver/Application Logs) Basic knowledge on any of the cloud platform. Use and manage SAS' Application Monitoring Software to monitor the Software and System and collect metrics for event management, incident management, problem management and change management. "Application Monitoring Software means software used by SAS under the applicable Customer Agreement to collect data to verify the availability and performance of the Customer environment. Perform installation of SAS software hot fixes and new releases provided by SAS. Utilize SAS processes to support event management, incident management, problem management and change management, as applicable. Maintain all necessary credentials required to access the Server environments. Work collaboratively with Customers, analysts, developers, SAS personnel and other team members to establish ownership and accountability while driving value from the SAS environment. Manage, diagnose, and debug SAS and other third-party enterprise class software systems. Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system problems in complex technical environments. Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation. Must have experience of writing complex queries in Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server. Must have Base SAS and SAS Macros Programing skills Experience working in Agile environments and DevOps Methods is Plus Experience of creating Functional and Detailed Design documents, Software Configuration Plans and Unit Test Plans. Create UNIX shell scripts to callSASjobs from scheduling tools. Create scripts to handle calls betweenSASmodules. Analysis, preparation and update technical documentation within the project team following prescribed Bank technical policy and procedures. Identification and escalation of risks, issues and blockers Collaboration with business analysts to understand requirements, review designs, conduct testing and demonstrate products. Proactive communication of compliance application changes to Operations & Technology and business stakeholders Experience of managing SAS Management Console or SAS Environment Manager Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in information technology or information systems or computer science or related required 8 years of experience in managing SAS Grid and SAS Viya environment. 5 years of experience implementing technology solutions at banks or financial institutions. 3 years of experience writing complex queries in SAS. 3 years of experience writing complex queries in Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server. 3 years of experience writing Unix shell scripts Exposure to SAS GRID and SAS VIYA 4.0. Experience with data extraction, transformation and load using SAS Base code and SQL Loader Experience customizing SAS Alert Generation Process modules. Well organized and demonstrates strong technical proficiency in system analysis and application design. Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. Well organized and be able to simultaneously manage several disparate tasks over varying timescales. Self-motivated, and able to troubleshoot issues independently. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience writing FDDs and DDDs. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
