MHR is looking for a licensed Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (Independent Contractor) to provide advocacy and facilitate awareness, growth, and psychological development of our clients to aid in the recovery process.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Therapists conduct diagnostic assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide individual, couples, and family therapy in the metro area (Ramsey, Hennepin, and Dakota Counties) through our Rule 29 Clinic.
  • Operate own practice in association with an established mental health provider.
  • Minimum of 10 clients on caseload.
  • Services are provided in the community, primarily in people’s homes.
  • Participation in consultation group meeting every month (frequency depends on clinical hours).

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology or human services related field.
    • Licensed as LICSW, LPCC, LP or LMFT in the State of Minnesota.
  • 2 years post licensure experience.
  • Skilled in the process of identifying and assessing individuals with SPMI; conducting diagnostic assessments, developing individual treatment plans, providing evidenced-based intervention strategies, and recording keeping as per DHS standards.
