What the role is all about: Were seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst (8-12 years' experience), to join the team at REA Cyber City. This role will be reporting to a Delivery Lead and working closely with a Technical Lead, a Senior Business Analyst, and a Product Manager and other supporting roles such as QA. You will be managing the HubSpot squad based in Cyber City to support the delivery of features and fixes in a collaborative team environment. ThePrincipal Business Analystwill join our Financial Services team. Financial Services sits at the unique juncture of REA Groups vast consumer audience onrealestate.com.au, the nationally recognised Mortgage Choice brand, and the unparalleled property data and insights offered by PropTrack. We are working to bring these elements together to deliver true innovation in how Australians find and finance property. While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include: Joint accountability for the Cyber City teams health, happiness, and performance with Delivery Lead. Positively contribute to the culture of your team, build engagement and morale, be involved in recruiting, set structure and processes, and build and maintain a high performing team in Cyber City. Line management responsibility of up to 5 team members, who will require you to mentor them, identify skill gaps, establish development plans, and conduct performance reviews. Gather technical business requirements to shape solution design and the delivery of products and services. Collaborate closely with Delivery Lead, Senior Business Analyst, and Technical Lead to enable the Cyber City team to deliver effectively and within agreed time frames. Analysing technical business processes, workflows and user journeys using advanced techniques such as process/system mapping. Documenting clear requirements (both business and technical) to feed into our Solution Design process that will be implemented by the squad. Identifying and communicating any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process. Being involved with coordinating end-to-end testing of new features and products released in HubSpot to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality, and user friendliness. As part of the analyses, identify dependencies early and work closely with delivery lead and lead developer to document this part of the delivery plan. Who were looking for: Have experience working with CRM systems (HubSpot highly desirable). Ability to operate autonomously within an agreed backlog/roadmap and within an agreed set of prioritised work items. Ability to re-prioritise and shift sequencing of work if it's necessary to meet short term value-based business outcomes. Advanced leadership, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Skills in line managing and mentoring people. The ability to work in an environment that is built up of multiple business units with multiple use cases across Consumer and Customer. Developed skills in workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation techniques. Ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation. Understanding of all aspects of the systems/software agile development cycle. Technical familiarity with web technologies and complex data systems/structures. Ability to understand and document technical requirements. Developed problem solving skills and ability to think creatively. Effective time management and prioritisation. Tertiary level qualification in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics ideal but not essential. What we offer: A hybrid and flexible approach to working.
