Job Description

Program Manager Job Description:
The 340 B Program Manager works under direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Operations. This position plays an integral role in managing 340B regulations and compliance for all covered entities throughout the organization. Essential responsibilities include managing dispense claims administration, claims analysis, and operations of 340B Drug program.
Program Manager Daily Duties:
  • Ensures compliance with all aspect of the 340B program and implements all applicable aspects of the Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance.
  • Serves HMD subject matter expert (SME) for 340 B compliance and performance
  • Develop metrics for program compliance monitoring for all covered entities.
  • Schedule and oversee internal and external 340B compliance audits.
  • Develop and maintain 340 B program policies and procedures.
  • Serves as the organization primary liaison for maintaining relations and accountability for with assigned (TPA) vendor.
  • Assist with 340 B contract reviews and negotiations.
  • Serves as organization liaison for affiliated departments (i.e., Compliance, Legal, Finance, IT, Pharmacy) to ensure 340B Program integrity.
  • Develops and maintains external relationships: Apexus, HRSA, wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, vendors, pharmacy benefit managers, third party administrators.
  • Provides ongoing education, training, and communications to all staff (particularly those who work with 340B routinely) regarding the 340B Program operations and compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of policy changes that impact 340B program which includes, but not limited to, HRSA-OPA rules and Medicaid changes.
  • Participate in end of month finance evaluation of 340 cost savings.
  • Work with pharmacy leadership on implementation of new and existing clinical services that generates 340 B savings.
  • Flexibility to travel to covered 340 B entities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Program Manager Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree, Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred
  • Apexus 340 B Certification
  • PharmD preferred
  • 3- 5 years of experience in healthcare management specifically related 340B
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
  • Strong customer service orientation skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Full knowledge of Windows Office Suite; particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of computers
  • Strong problem resolution skills
