Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Concrete General Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all concrete operations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in concrete construction, combined with your ability to effectively manage teams and resources, will drive our projects to successful completion. As a Concrete General Superintendent you will:


- Oversee all on-site concrete construction activities and manage construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to establish concrete project specifications, scope, and schedules.

- Develop and implement concrete work plans, including formwork, pouring, finishing, and curing, to meet project requirements.

- Coordinate and supervise the work of foremen, concrete finishers, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor construction activities and address any issues or deviations from plans promptly.

- Ensure all concrete construction activities comply with company policies, building codes, and health and safety standards.

- Manage the procurement of concrete materials, equipment, and tools required for projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

- Maintain accurate records of construction progress, resources used, changes in scope, and other relevant project data.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to concrete construction, offering practical solutions to maintain project momentum.

- Train and mentor junior staff in concrete construction techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.

- Foster a culture of safety on the job site by implementing and enforcing rigorous safety procedures and conducting regular safety training sessions.


Position Requirements


Proven experience as a Concrete General Superintendent or similar managerial role in construction

-8 to 10 years of proven construction management experience

-In-depth knowledge of concrete construction procedures, materials, and project management principles

- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

- Strong understanding of construction management processes, means, and methods

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors This position will have 6-10 direct reports.

- Proficient in MS Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Adept at negotiating with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

- Detailed knowledge of building codes, regulations, and inspection compliance

- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions

- Experience with concrete formwork systems and finishing techniques

- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines

- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
