Senior Accountant (on-site)

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining a combination of general accounting systems. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Examines, analyzes and interprets accounting data for the purpose of supporting continuous improvement and preparing required financial statements. Balances accounts periodically and assists in preparation of Income, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains standard inventory costs.
• Conducts Variance analysis and develops tools to support Manufacturing Cost analysis.
• Provide Operations teams with regular financial reports and tools to drive their continuous improvement activities.
• Compiles and analyzes financial data to prepare journal entries for upload to general ledger.
• Prepares journal entries and financial support for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
• Reconciles account balances and prepares monthly Work Papers.
• Ensures compliance with Internal Control process.
• Interfaces with outside auditors to complete Company’s annual audit.
• Participates in Physical Inventory process to support audit requirements and to drive inventory control improvements.
• Handles multiple sites as it applies to finance and accounting
• Compiles information required for tax estimates and filings.

• Bachelors’ Degree in Finance/ Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
• 3-5 years’ experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment required. LEAN experience a plus.
• Experience with supporting multiple sites
• Cost Accounting background and General Ledger experience required.
• Computer experience with Windows, Word, and Outlook.
• Expert level Excel and Intermediate level Access experience required.
• Must have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills.
• Must be a self-directed, organized individual with high integrity and honesty.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and periodically lift 30-40 pound Banker boxes.
• Travel required. 10% estimate.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background check and drug screen).
