We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Billing and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for managing our company's billing system and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our payroll. Job Responsibilities - Review and process invoices and issue bills to clients or customers - Ensure timely collection of payments and conduct account reconciliations - Prepare and submit payroll information by gathering employee time records and approved timesheets - Calculate employee pay based on hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime - Process payroll deductions such as tax withholdings, benefits, and garnishments - Maintain accurate financial records for billing and payroll transactions - Resolve discrepancies in billing and payroll records by investigating and coordinating with relevant departments - Update and maintain payroll and billing databases with new hires, terminations, changes in salary and benefits - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions - Prepare reports summarizing billing and payroll activities for management review - Respond to billing and payroll-related queries from employees and clients - Collaborate with HR, accounting, and other departments to ensure smooth operation of billing and payroll processes - Stay current with payroll software updates and billing software to optimize the efficiency of financial operations - Handle and safeguard confidential and sensitive information with integrity

Job Requirements - - Proven experience in billing and payroll processing - Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with general ledger operations - Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel - Understanding of applicable laws and regulations regarding payroll, taxation, and employee benefits - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial and employee information - Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines - Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills - Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal - Experience with timekeeping and scheduling systems - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar credential is preferred - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues - Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation of payroll accounts
