In addition to MRAS' design, development and manufacturing capabilities, the company provides technical support, spares, and other services for its products.

Role Summary Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of facility management, master planning, building & infrastructure design, real estate services, design reviews, design concepts all while assuring we adhere to local and state level construction standards. Each day this role will handle coordination, programmatic administration, budgetary oversight, management and leadership of facility projects and services. Functions may include specialized architectural, engineering, site design, construction services; energy engineering; building code analysis; project scheduling, estimating, and support of operations and maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Meet with key stake holders to understand project scope and use that requirement to create the Statement of work that will allow outside bidding.
  • Establish ROM estimates and present the results to key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential solutions and work with sourcing to assure we onboard and select well qualified OEM’s, construction, and equipment suppliers.
  • Present the potential solutions to EHS, OPS, facilities team, and engineering to assure all safety, and environmental impacts of the project are being considered.
  • Schedule and lead meetings with key stakeholders to drive the down select process. Continually compare the solutions being presented against the available budgets. Assure we meet financial and schedule targets.
  • Follow company policies while utilizing Microsoft office tools along with SAP system to enter requisitions.
  • Update current tracking system in MS Excel to communicate to stakeholders the project status and progress. Assist sourcing with all necessary documents and push to get purchase orders issued.
  • Track open PO’s and continue to monitor the suppliers for cost, delivery, and quality.
  • CAD designing for optimizing facility's layouts and critical operational systems. AutoCAD preferred.
  • Coordinate with the Facility Manager regarding outstanding issues. Maintain schedules for supplier and builder visits and add input/insight on upcoming projects.
  • Assist the MRAS team with solving challenging floor layouts and take part in continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify hard and soft cost savings at the site. Take part in annual maintenance budgets.
  • Train and mentor less experienced facilities Engineers.


Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited University or college with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Please note an Associate degree with 5+ years of work experience in a Facility Engineering role, or 10+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

  • High level Knowledge of architectural designs and building structures.
  • Working Knowledge of Facilities Mechanical, plumbing and Electrical Systems.
  • Must have a strong understanding of reading and creating Blueprints drawings for building projects.
  • Daily use and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and purchasing software.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
  • Focused on Proper PP&E, OSHA regulations and safety protocol.


Desired Characteristics:

  • Civil Engineering background is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a lead role that demanded strong knowledge of architectural design, and building structures.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge about local and state building codes.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management principles.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Continuous Improvement (5S, TPM, Quick Change, Poke-Yoke, D.I.V.E. and VSM).
  • AUTO CAD design.
  • Experience in a role using SAP to enter REQ’s and monitor PO’s.
  • Experience in budgeting and scheduling.
  • Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  • Experience as a Facility Engineer in an Aerospace production facility.
