Location: Butte County and surrounding Northern California Counties

Pay: $25 - $35/hour DOE

CPUS is seeking Safety Specialist, Associates to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. Under direct guidance of supervisor or senior peers, Assoc. Safety Specialist will perform initial and subsequent safety observations of activities relevant to Vegetation Management operations and skills in an area of technical/safety knowledge and procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operating as a subsidiary of parent company Celerity Consulting Group, Clear Path Utility Solutions provides world-class construction management, vegetation management, emergency / non-emergency management, quality support and pre-inspections services to utility companies in North America.
Clear Path Utility Solutions orchestrates a critical leadership role between construction companies and vegetation field services, providing advanced emergency and non-emergency response services to help utility companies assess, plan and execute vegetation projects in the field as they evolve.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Under direct guidance of supervisor or senior peers, perform initial and subsequent safety observations of activities relevant to Vegetation Management operations and skills in an area of technical/safety knowledge and procedures.
- Under direct guidance, document and communicate results to front line supervisors using standardized templates and forms.
- Under direct guidance, provide coaching report and feedback to participants upon completion of the observations.
- Under direct guidance, may provide recommendations and input to improve observed at risk safety activities utilizing coaching tools and processes.
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Any technical or continued education in related field. (Forestry, Utility Vegetation Management and/or Logging);
- 10 years job-related experience (i.e., Utility Tree Crew).
- Valid Driver’s License; and
- CPR / First Aid.
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification is preferred.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
