Branch Manager


Eagle Fence Distributing, LLC


The primary function of the Branch Manager is to direct all branch activities and personnel to ensure that the business objectives for the branch are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively. The principal branch activities are sales, and operations. The manager must be effective in coordinating all these activities such that the customers are served by a seamless and transparent operation. The Branch Manager is accountable for branch sales, gross profit, contribution margin objectives, inventory, controlling expenses, and asset management.

Tasks:



  • Oversee the transportation of goods from site to customer

  • Review purchase orders for approval

  • Ensure inventory maintains optimal levels

  • Ensure all DOT regulations and reporting procedures are followed

  • Ensure work force is flexible and can respond to variations in workflow

  • Plan daily operations and manpower/equipment needs and ensure timely plan execution

  • Enforce the safety and security policies, to ensure a safe work environment and limit shrinkage

  • Conduct quality checks and audits of processes; recommend and implement changes to maximize productivity

  • Supervise the proper housekeeping and maintenance of the facility and equipment

  • Coaching, counsel and discipline associates to hold them accountable for their performance

  • Troubleshoot with internal cross functional teams to increase customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop relationships with new customers

  • Cold calling will be required

  • Oversee daily loading and yard schedule

  • Schedule staffing to meet the changing daily business needs

  • Promote a continuous improvement culture through communication and coaching employees as well as finding opportunities for streamlining production activities and enhancing value-added processes

  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education:



  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Experience with a similar workforce is preferred

  • A bachelor's degree and/or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Technical Skills:



  • Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job

  • Operations Analysis - Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design

  • Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.

  • Technology Design - Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs

  • Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it


Other Skills:



  • Management of Financial Resources - Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures

  • Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work

  • Time Management - Managing one's own time

  • Strong communication skills
