Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a robust background in public accounting audit or corporate accounting.

• Exhibits a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen analytical mind.

• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to think critically and act decisively.

Growth Prospects:

• The chosen candidate will have the unique opportunity to be mentored by the Controller, with a clear pathway to evolve into an Assistant Controller.

Duties:

• Perform complex accounting tasks within the area of assignment, to include research and resolution of potential errors or discrepancies

• Maintain general ledger and fixed asset accounting for assigned locations

• Create, monitor and post accruals and journal entries for closing duties to ensure all deadlines and schedules are met

• Provide bank and general ledger account reconciliations

• Analyze variances and identify trends and opportunities to lower or control costs

• Assist in coordination of annual budget and periodic forecasting

• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics of the company to further develop strategies to improve performance

• Support annual external audit

• Design, document and implement workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks

Compensation:

Base: $100-120k + 5% Bonus

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting

• CPA license preferred

• 4+ years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility and analytical decision making

• Prioritize diverse tasks

• Apply time-management concepts and techniques

• Analyze complex information, draw logical conclusions, and make sound recommendations

• Read and understand contractual language

• Partnership with Senior Leaders, Operations and other corporate departments

• Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with integrated ERP systems

• Highly proficient in Excel
