FINANCE DIRECTOR – FOOD MANUFACTURING
Dallas, Texas
Our client is a leading food manufacturer in the high growth segment of ethnic meals and appetizers (Asian, Latin, and international foods) sold to national retailers, food service companies, convenience stores, distributors, and educational institutions across the globe. They have a strong team culture and expertly craft food cuisines with strong product leadership, operational excellence, and customer experience while positively impacting the communities and ecosystems where we live and work.
The company has doubled in revenue over the last 5 yrs. and are averaging 20% growth per annum on average. As a result, they created a new Finance Director position and are looking for a talented financial professional who embodies their company values and who want to be a part of driving transformation in a high growth, fun culture. SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Finance Director position is responsible for directing the organization's overall accounting, financial and administrative policies and processes. Oversees all financial functions including accounting and reporting, budgeting, operations analysis, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. Expected to constantly seek improvement in company’s business administration functions and infrastructure. This is a highly entrepreneurial role with an opportunity to build-out and shape a highly professional finance organization from the ground level as they scale the business.
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity, latitude and responsibility is expected. Reports to General Manager with a dotted line to Chief Executive Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare monthly financial reporting including IS, BS, CFS, EBITDA add backs, revenue detail, COGS detail, Opex detail, bank covenants, NWC, CapEx, comparisons to budget and prior year, etc.
Monitor and analyze cash flows, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders
Prepare weekly flash report
Lead annual budgeting and 13-week cash flow forecasting process for Company
Analyze proposed capital expenditure growth projects (i.e. ROI analyses)
Execute and report comprehensive monthly and quarterly PowerPoint presentations to executive leadership and board
Leverage ERP (Oracle Netscape) to spearhead digital transformation, leverage all capabilities, deliver insights, and help guide decision-making
Establish, track, and analyze KPIs such as customer and product profitability, workforce utilization, etc. to drive business insights
Assist sales team with pricing and costing analytics
Interact with outside CPA firm for annual audit and tax return preparation
REQUIREMENTS
Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, advanced degree is a plus
Must have at least 10 - 15 years of related finance experience in food & beverage, pharmaceutical or similar type manufacturing environment
CPA or MBA is a plus
Must have experience interacting with outside investors
Must have ERP experience with knowledge of Oracle Netsuite being a plus
Bilingual Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus bur not required
Must be skillful in Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must be a self-starter with strong drive for results and high level of personal responsibility
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
Should be a collaborative and cooperative leader and team member
Must have strategic planning and organizational skills
Should be adept at navigating in ambiguous and entrepreneurial environments
Must have hands-on execution comfort and capability
Must be comfortable and capable working with and upgrading existing infrastructure and resources
