Using Solidworks to adapt product designs to meet customer applications. Working towards delivering customer designs, meeting deadlines, finding solutions, working with manufacturing engineers to develop final designs, and meeting customer quality and customer satisfaction goals. Products are used by customers in many engineering sectors; rail, industrial machinery, overhead signage, safety systems, consumer machinery, specialist vehicles, etc etc. The ideal background could include A mechanical engineering degree or HND or similar. A strong grasp of engineering principles and the ability to apply these to practical mechanical solutions. The ability to communicate in a team environment with colleagues, and understand customer objectives from engineering drawings and by taking part in conversations with colleagues and customers. A demonstrated ability to understand how to meet deadlines, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction. Applications Engineer £27,000 pension. Permanent. On Site.
