Quantity Surveyor

Mane are looking for a QS to join their client, a leading M&E Contractor working on projects in and around the London area. You will have experience within M&E and ideally have worked on Temporary services. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work under the guidance of the Commercial Manager and be responsible for: Overseeing the commercial aspects of our London projects. Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment (AFP). Managing project variations and general change management. Monitoring and analyzing monthly cost reports to produce month-end reports. Attending meetings to progress or finalize project accounts. Identifying, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks. Gaining familiarity with standard contract forms, including NEC3 and JCT. Negotiating subcontract terms and conditions with clients and contractors. Drafting subcontracts, valuing subcontractor work, and certifying interim and final payments. Enhancing cash flow through effective control, measurement, valuation, invoicing, and cash collection. Receiving training and support to aid in your professional development. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. Key Skills and Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (Degree, HNC, or NVQ preferred). 2 years of experience preferred, but candidates with relevant experience or qualifications will also be considered. Understanding of electrical systems is beneficial but not required. Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office, with a focus on Excel. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude. Effective time management skills. Methodical approach and proactive learning ability. Salary & Benefits: Salary: £50K - £60K, depending on experience. Pension scheme.
