Electrical Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the execution of national grid projects, with a primary focus on substation development. The ideal candidate should possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering and have substantial experience in the design and construction of primary substations. The project: Battery Energy Storage System ("BESS") located near the Wilton International site About the Role - Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on substation design, electrical systems, and protection schemes. Experience with BESS Units IS DESIRABLE. Responsibilities Project Management: Lead and manage electrical projects related to the national grid and primary substations. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful and timely project completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Design Expertise: Utilize electrical engineering principles to design and review primary substations. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all design processes. Implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of substation systems. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and protection schemes within the context of primary substations. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical engineering. Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, reports, and drawings. Provide regular project status updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all project documentation adheres to quality and regulatory standards. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in project deliverables.
