Fabricator

Vibe Recruit's client, based in Bridgend, is looking for a skilled fabricator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating mild steel components. This is a full time, permanent position. Responsibilities: Operate welding equipment, as well as hand and power tools, as required. Read and interpret engineering drawings to carry out fabrication and welding within specified tolerances. Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained. Report any production-related issues to the department supervisor or manager. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times. Complete daily safety inspections on welding equipment and machinery. Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor or manager. Qualifications: Must be skilled in freehand fabrication and using welding aids to produce components in line with engineering drawings. Demonstrated experience in hydraulic fitting is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in operating various hand and power tools. Basic mathematical skills are required for precise measurements and calculations. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow technical specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
