Scrub Nurse (RGN) – Wimbledon, London Location: Wimbledon, London Contract: Ad-hoc shifts available periodically Pay Rates: Standard: £38.77 per hour Saturday & Sunday: £41.22 per hour Bank Holidays: £42.00 per hour Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse (RGN) to join a well-established surgical team in Wimbledon, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced theatre environment, assisting in a variety of surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist perioperative nursing care within the theatre environment. Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, equipment, and sterile field for procedures. Ensure strict adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques. Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Monitor and support patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Accurately complete theatre documentation and ensure patient safety at all times. Maintain and check surgical instruments and theatre equipment. Support junior staff and new team members in learning scrub techniques. Requirements: Registered General Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid registration. Previous scrub experience in a theatre setting is essential. Ability to work across a range of surgical specialities. Strong knowledge of theatre policies, procedures, and protocols. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
