General Purpose
Conduct analysis and develop business financial reports and projections through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations. Activities include, but are not limited to, development and maintenance of financial models, development and analyses of forecast/budget data and schedules, and financial performance reporting.
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assist in activities related to the Company’s affiliate accounting including preparation of journal entries, coding within affiliate database and direct activities related to intercompany internal controls
- Collect and maintain supporting documentation related to affiliate charges
- Support affiliate / intercompany reporting and analysis under supervisor of manager
- Routine accounting processes for month end close activities
- Conduct SOX and other compliance control activities on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial results variance analyses to budget
- Prepare internal documentation and memos summarizing financial results and forecasts
- Develop and prepare ad hoc financial analyses and written reports as requested
- Assist with development of the annual business plan; including business unit coordination, data verification and completeness for assigned sections and summarization of analysis and related information for effective presentation
- Determine appropriate analysis, modeling methods and techniques for obtaining desired financial metric results
- Assist in response to data requests from auditors, regulation, and other ad hoc assignments
- Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, and business processes
Requirements for this position include the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of seven years of related financial analytical experience.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Experience in business planning and forecasting, with knowledge of related concepts, practices and techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex transactions, their accounting treatment and financial statement implications.
- Proficient with personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation applications to gather, analyze, model and present information.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.
Preferences
- General understanding of utility economics and accounting
- Advanced degree and/or CPA designation

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
