Senior Resident Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Provide expert supervision and management of road refurbishment and rehabilitation projects. Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, contractual obligations, and safety regulations . Conduct regular site inspections, quality assurance checks , and progress reporting. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Lead and coordinate a team of Engineers, Technicians, and site personnel. Ensure adherence to relevant engineering standards (SANRAL, SANS, etc.) and local authority requirements. Resolve technical issues on-site and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities . Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Junior Engineers. Key Requirements: ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) Essential. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 10 years experience in roads refurbishment/rehabilitation projects . Strong knowledge of bitumen, asphalt resurfacing, pavement rehabilitation, and drainage systems . Previous experience working on SANRAL or municipal road projects is highly advantageous. Proficiency in FIDIC, GCC, or NEC contract administration . Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
