Government Services Move/Relocation Coordinator - Washington, DC


Our client, a well-established moving specialist based in the Washington, DC area, is seeking a Government Services Move/Relocation Coordinator to join their team on a hybrid basis.


Responsibilities of the Government Services Move Coordinator:

  • Coordination of origin and/or destination household goods relocation services performed for the U.S. Department of State, ITGBL, national accounts, and other clients and agencies.
  • Monitor moves and maintain direct contact with customers from the initiation of the order to its successful completion at the time of delivery.
  • Prepare the origin and destination paperwork to facilitate packing, loading, and delivery services for all accounts.
  • Take responsibility for any problems, resolving them to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Reviewing final rates for each shipment and confirming approvals for any services not included in the service description is also required.
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM system.
  • Liaising with vendors to ensure timely and efficient packing, transportation, and delivery of goods.
  • Ensuring all relocation activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Generating and analyzing reports on relocation activities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing training and support to new staff members on relocation procedures and CRM usage.


Experience required of the Government Services Move Coordinator:

  • Previous experience in coordination of government, Department of State, and ITGBL moves.
  • Fantastic customer service skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure,
  • Exceptional IT and communication skills.
  • A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in paperwork and compliance with regulations is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple relocations and meet deadlines are necessary, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team and support team members as needed.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues that arise during relocations, and adaptability to changing circumstances and requirements in a dynamic work environment, are also required.
