Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator will work closely with the project management team and other stakeholders to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for commercial roofing projects. This position requires a high level of expertise and experience in the roofing industry, as well as the ability to accurately estimate project costs and timelines.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate take-offs and detailed estimates using estimating software.

• Analyze project plans and specifications to identify project requirements and potential risks.

• Collaborate with project management team to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.

• Communicate with clients and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids and resolve any issues.

• Track and manage all bid documents, including plans, specifications, and addendums.

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to provide accurate estimates.

• Participate in bid review meetings with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of bids.

• Provide support to project management team during the pre-construction phase.


Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial roofing industry

• Extensive knowledge of estimating software is a plus.

• Strong understanding of roofing materials, installation methods, and industry standards

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs

• In-depth technical knowledge of TPO, EPDM, PVC, Mod-Bit, Built Up, and Metal systems, various methods of attachment, and Manufacturer warranty requirements.

• Experience bidding on Government, Industrial, and Healthcare facilities.

• Ability to efficiently read and interpret plans and specifications.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Must have a valid driver license.
