Civil Engineering Manager

A client of Insight Global's is actively searching for a Civil Engineering Manager to lead their Knoxville, TN office. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including business development, project management, consulting, and office leadership. The primary focus will be split between project management and business development. From a project management perspective, this individual will manage projects from conception to completion. Projects could include but not be limited to, local public utilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, water and sewer collection systems, or stormwater drainage/runoff projects. From a business development perspective, this individual will coordinate regional business development activities, purse new client opportunities, support project managers with existing clients, and assist in creating budgets and marketing materials. This experienced individual will have excellent communication, both written and verbal as they will be constantly communicating with external clients as well as internal staff to ensure project goals/specifications are being met.

Additional responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a team of two PE's, one EIT, and one Construction Inspector
• Work with Project Managers across other offices to ensure projects are being completed on time and within budget
• Consult and advise executive leadership on project needs, hiring opportunities, and employee production and development

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or Geotechnical, Environmental, or related)
• PE License
• 10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer or Project manager
• 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, specializing in water and wastewater
