Our company is seeking a senior Electrician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to utilize their expertise in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and will be responsible for running cables, running conduits, control panel wiring, handling NCC, managing change orders, and reading blueprints. A significant part of the role will also involve leading a team of 10, so strong leadership skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
2. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems.
3. Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.).
4. Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
5. Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
6. Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
7. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
8. Coordinate with the project manager and team members to identify and manage change orders.
9. Lead a team of 10, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring high-quality work.
10. Interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams, ensuring all work adheres to schematics and safety standards.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an Electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
2. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
3. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
4. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
6. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
7. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
8. Valid license to practice the profession.
9. Proven experience in leading a team and excellent leadership skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
