Tech & Business Consultant
Work Location: Remote
PROJECT SCOPE: Candidate will be working on a new project surrounding IT Service Design from respective IT Organizations. Candidate will be responsible for engaging groups to facilitate the identification and/or define service ownership and service expected outcomes. Candidate will be responsible for documentation and of data obtain and generating plans for ongoing maintenance. Candidate will be accountable for engagement of design and implementation of new Service Taxonomy; as well as educating Service Owners.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a candidate with great communication skills that will have the ability to understand and correlate Services that are delivered to the Enterprise. In addition, the candidate will have the capability to identify Services that may not have been realized. This candidate will be responsible for assisting the Leader with establishing Governance Policies and Desktop Procedures to gather, validate and maintain respective data obtained. The IT Consultant in this role will also engage and communicate with Teams regarding Service Design processes in understandable business terms and produce the appropriate knowledge documents, spreadsheets and SOPs to support the management of the Service Design Practice.

- Defining service definitions and service relationships for our catalog of services
- Analyzing a company's IT system and infrastructure.
- Planning a timeline for completion of projects.
- Understanding a client's business needs.
- Implementing a technological solution to meet business needs.
- Facilitating governance review meetings
- Providing advice on technology best practices.
- Collaborating with technical in-house team to ensure familiarity with technology.
- Monitoring the success of IT solution.
- Producing detailed reports on the efficacy of the technology.
Job Requirements:
- Strong CMDB familiarity
- Strong level of understanding of IT Service Management
- Strong negotiation Skills
- Experience with an ITSM Platform (BMC Remedy Helix/Service Now)
- ITIL Certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Service taxonomy familiarity.
- Strong understanding of technical service, business services, and service offerings.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- SME in consulting technology with proven implementation experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of professional experience as an Architect or consultant working on progressively complex business improvement projects
- Bachelor's degree in IT related field or additional related equivalent work experience
- Strong level of understanding with IT Service Management
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience with an ITSM Platform (BMC Remedy Helix or Service Now)
- Strong business acumen and communication skills
