Position Description:
CGI is looking for a dynamic Application Architect to design, develop, articulate and demonstrate technology-based solutions for business problems. The Architect brings deep domain and technology expertise, especially in Banking and Financial Services, is familiar with industry standards, and is able to effectively work and communicate across various different business and technology stakeholders.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Understand and evaluate the underlying business goals
• Develop and facilitate the development of architectural roadmaps, architectural documents / HLD / LLDs covering application modernizations including data and infrastructure components
• Guide business and other stakeholders in their IT modernization journey
• Develop POCs to determine the best possible solutions based upon business requirements
• Proficient in Angular, Java, Relational Databases, Design Patterns, UML
• Analyze, define, design and propose solutions to business problems using architectural patterns and policies
• Deal with a broad range of old and new technologies with the skills to recognize and exploit the advantages of both
• Develop plans to migrate from the existing baseline to the target architecture
• Understand, implement and communicate architecture principles, approaches and standards across teams
• Work in team-oriented environment, providing architectural advice, expertise, and guidance to key stakeholders on a broad range of technology/architecturally related projects
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science and certification in TOGAF 9 or 10
• Minimum 6 - 8 years of overall work experience in Information Technology sector, in core development using Java based technologies.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of work experience in design and architecture
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in core development using Java based technologies
• Strong knowledge of technical and solution architecture concepts, values, and methodologies
• Possess broad range of technical knowledge (e.g. applications, data engineering and enterprise technology) and SDLC experience and Agile
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate ideas to technical and business audiences
• Experience in Banking applications and architecting technology solutions using in-house and third-party systems is desirable

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $108,600- $213,800.
