Sr. Software Development Engineer

Our client, a leader across the globe specializing in technology and software is looking for a Software Engineer with C++ and Python Development experience. The engineer will work with design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software applications tailored to client needs and expectations. It is an exciting opportunity to work on a first-of-its-kind product for Microsoft, collaborating with a growing, supportive, and innovative team.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Python development.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with software debugging.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with hardware software development.

Opportunity Overview:

The purpose of this team is to validate post-silicon hardware manufactured in their lab and contribute to the creation and maintenance of software applications to support this work. The engineer will work with design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software applications tailored to client needs and expectations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Develop new features and components using C++ and Python.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the software and hardware systems.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders to refine deliverables.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Maintain appropriate documentation to ensure usability and reference.

Qualifications/Experience:

Required:

• 5-7 years of experience in software engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Python development (preferably for applications rather than simple scripts).
• Strong experience with software debugging and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell or Bash scripting.

Preferred:

• Experience with hardware systems (e.g., working with DIMMs or other physical components).
• Knowledge of database design and web development.
• Familiarity with post-silicon validation concepts, including product milestones and team responsibilities.
