This role involves creating data pipelines and automation for data science models, collaborating closely with data science using Python coding standards, monthly releases, deployment, and testing standards. Responsibilities include designing, building, orchestrating, and implementing machine learning model solutions, as well as leading a team of 3 data engineers. The role also involves conducting design and code reviews, and mentoring to improve the quality of work and job performance.

Position Title: Lead Data and Analytics Engineer Business Unit: Technology Reports to: Manager of Data and Analytics Engineering
Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for providing expertise for corporate-wide analytics and data design and manages the data transformation support and consumption for various business units. The incumbent works on highly complex and cross-functional business information solutions, directs, organizes and leads projects in the implementation and use of new analytics software tools and systems, participates in project management estimation process, manages and plans for service demand forecasts and has a significant impact on operations, resources and the corporation's reputation.
Primary Responsibilities: Develops work plans or reviews other work plan timelines and manages workflows to meet timeframes. Participates in project management estimation process. Manages and plans for service demand forecasts and may participate in the development of business cases to support Technology projects. Works with Business Systems and Data Analysts to understand customer needs. Analyzes business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable and operable solutions. Collects, analyzes and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results. Works with Business Systems and Data Analysts during implementation gathering additional information when needed and keeping the business informed. Implements data structures using best practices in data modeling, processes and technologies. Performs data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems. Implements tools and frameworks for automating report generation, identification of data-quality issues and data governance. Leads the integration efforts for merging analytics platforms with enterprise systems and applications. Performs data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems. Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends. Performs programming analyses for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms. Ensures documentation is created and maintained. Troubleshoots analytics tools, systems and software. Troubleshoots reported data loads or reconciliation inconsistencies in conjunction with the sites for data models and/or reports. Tracks, monitors and analyzes performance and production issues and implements improvements. Supports and helps manage external resources such as service providers and vendor support. Ensures the collected data is within required quality standards. Maintains the quality of Metadata Repository by adding, modifying and deleting data. Reco mends quality metrics and ensures quality metrics are documented and tracked. Creates scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses and model development, model validation, and model implementation. Leads team, helps coordinate work and processes, assigns work and provides input for performance management. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
