Job Summary:Join our Learning and Education team; we believe our work is vital for people around the world.In this role, you work in partnership with global and cross-functional teams (many people and cultures) to design and deliver learning initiativesto help achieve business objectives in harmony with our people-centric culture. We seek a person with strong attention to detail, an ability to be a reliable problem-solver, and with strong project management skills.The Learning and Education Technical Specialist is responsible for the development of technical training material, this includes working with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts as necessary. These materials are for our customers, as well as the partners and customer success professionals that help our customers adopt new technologies.What You Will Do: Design and develop experiential learning solutions that support adult learning best practices, address needs identified in a job/task analysis, drive behavior change, and improve performance of customers, partners, and studentsCreate and curate content for eLearning and instructor led training using the latest technology and innovative techniquesBuild and maintain valued relationships with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholdersDesign interactive courseware and videos that appeal to various learning styles and international audiencesDevelop quizzes and other assessments to measure a learner’s knowledge, skills, and capabilitiesFollow branding guidelines and standards to ensure content is professional and consistent with corporate look and feel for external audiencesMeet tough deadlines and proactively communicate plans and plan revisions as neededBe a mentor to trainers and business partners for instructional design and enablement practicesTake on additional projects and responsibilities as needed What You Will Need:Basics: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.Experience designing and developing learning materials with different delivery methods.Ability to work with internal customers and stakeholders in both live and virtual environments.Project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.Good time management skills when working on multiple projects with people in many timezones.Proven ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in simple terms and write effective copy for text and video.Experience with modern elearning and multimedia in Learning Management Systems and authoring tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360 Suite, or ISpring.Interest and ability to explore and learn new technologies as they relate to e-learning.Available for occasional travelHave an open and inclusive mindset and be ready to be a part of a global team. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Instructional Development, Training Education/Communication, or related field.Working knowledge of Altair simulation, AI, data science, or HPC solutions.Knowledge and experience with any type of FEM software/solver.Advanced knowledge of FEA.Classroom (virtual, in-person) training experience.Proven experience in a similar role with design, implementation and execution of the learning and development in a multinational environment.Demonstrated experience working with multiple industry recognized instructional design models preferred.
