SUMMARY
The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC's service requirements are categorized in the following areas: - T&E Performance Requirements - T&E Capability Management Requirements - T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO)
TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commands/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced IT/NSS capabilities.
This position primarily supports the design, implementation, deployment, management, and sustainment of computer systems dedicated to cybersecurity roles within JITC's various network enclaves. The ability to support network personnel and be knowledgeable and experienced with campus-wide network infrastructure support is also required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform maintenance and sustainment of existing workstations and servers, their operating systems, and applications directly supporting the cybersecurity posture of the organization's campus-wide networks and end users' systems. Operating systems will include, at a minimum, Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise-level hypervisor environments.
Perform continual monitoring of server systems for potential efficiency issues and degradation of services. Troubleshoot and resolve server, operating system, and application issues to restore services.
Provide direct support for server and client-side applications supported by the organization to its customers, including analysis of application issues and troubleshooting network communications for successful client-server communications and processing.
May be responsible for directing the work of system administrators who provide day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
Analyze current condition of server systems, research modernization opportunities, and provide guidance to team members and customer with written plans for improvement ensuring scalability and appropriate integration with other systems.
Design, implement, deploy, and sustain new systems as replacement of current technologies, or as assets to support new technologies as required by the customer. Receive or provide training on new technologies from and to team members.
Design strategies and infrastructure to support backups and recovery of systems in both production and test environments. Perform backups and restoral of systems in test environments to prove effectiveness.
Work with the team to establish, configure, maintain, and support internal and/or external networks for the organization.
Conduct network capacity and performance analysis.
Direct and support activities of the network control function of the organization.
Determine service quality levels for network transmission and performance and ensures the established levels are met.
Work with the team to troubleshoot network performance issues and recommends corrective actions.
Provide technical support and guidance to network users. Optimizes the functionality of networks and systems, and diagnose and recover failed network infrastructure and systems.
Ensure appropriate network security measures are in place and sustained.
Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
Support TEC II Task Order(s) as assigned based on PWS requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
* Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization
This level is intended to coincide with DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE Level II and the Contractor must comply with the associated qualification and certification requirements.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience * Requires a Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree and at least 8 years of experience. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Must have demonstrable knowledge, experience, and skills as applied to a variety of systems administration concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must demonstrate ability to solve problems in campus-wide, multi-networked environments.
Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management.

Preferred Skills
Experience with System and Network Administration.
Experience with Domain Name System implementation and management.
Experience with Host Based Security Solution tools and services.
Experience performing security posture scanning of operating systems, applications, and network equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
* Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support testing and training. General * office environment with frequent field duty. Work may require standing and walking for up to 50% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are frequently hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed * within an office environment, with standard office equipment available, or in a tactical field environment.
Strength Demands * Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
