IBM Power Server Administrator

IBM Power Server Administrator (L2/L3 positions) - P-Series (AIX admin)

Hands & Feet Support with DC experience is also Mandatory
• Day-to-day duties

a. Perform P series server's management

b. IBM PowerVC Administration and Troubleshooting,

c. Trouble HW and OS related issues,

d. HMC management,

e. Performance management and troubleshooting, working with IBM on support related co-ordination.

f. Work on customer reported tickets related to compute infrastructure.

g. Work in 24x7 rotational shifts.

h. Hand & Feet support experience at Data Centers is desirable

1. Skills required

a. Mandatory Skills

i. Power 7/8/9 Server platform work experience,

ii. IBM AIX 6.1/7.1/7.2 administration

iii. HMC Management, HMC console upgrades,

iv. System Firmware upgrades

v. LPAR/DLPAR/LPM functions,

vi. NIM Administration,

vii. VIO Server Administration, VIOS installation, configuration and upgrades, SEA configuration, NPIV/VSCSI implementation

b. Desired Skills

Cloud basics knowledge, PowerHA Cluster Administration, Linux Administration, Hand & Feet Support at DC

2. Experience level

L2-3-5 years in AIX Administration

L3-6 to 8 years and above in supporting production environments.
